For Sheila La Duke, quilting has never been just a craft. It is family, memory, creativity and connection — all stitched together inside The Duke’s Stash, her quilt shop in downtown New Glarus.

La Duke opened The Duke’s Stash in August 2021, following a winding path that began with retirement from the dry cleaning industry and led back to a lifelong love of fabric, sewing and helping others create something meaningful with their hands.
