The New Glarus Glarner Knights girls basketball team ran into a polished and aggressive Barneveld squad Tuesday night, falling 57-34 in a nonconference matchup at New Glarus High School gymnasium.

The game capped a rare home doubleheader during the holiday break, with the boys team defeating Barneveld earlier in the evening. A solid crowd filled the gym on a cold December night, greeted by a new, dramatic pregame introduction featuring darkened lights, music and player spotlights.
