Bill Oemichen Re-Elected to Edvest Board Chair
New Glarus School Board President Bill Oemichen has been re-elected chair of Wisconsin’s college savings board, which oversees Edvest and Tomorrow’s Scholar programs managing a combined $9.4 billion.
New Glarus School Board President Bill Oemichen has been re-elected chair of the Wisconsin College Savings Program Board, according to a press release issued Wednesday. The state board oversees Wisconsin’s Edvest and Tomorrow’s Scholar college savings programs.
The board, whose members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Wisconsin State Senate, manages $9.4 billion in tax-advantaged contributions and earnings across the two programs. The press release states that more than 250,000 people, primarily Wisconsin individuals and families, participate in Edvest, while more than 150,000 take part in the Tomorrow’s Scholar Program.
