Cold, Wind and Snow Create Hazardous Conditions Across Southern Wisconsin
Light snow, strong winds and dangerously cold wind chills are creating hazardous travel and safety conditions across southern Wisconsin, including New Glarus, through Monday.
A round of winter weather is creating hazardous conditions across southern Wisconsin, including Green County, as light snowfall, strong winds and dangerous cold settle into the region late Sunday and continue into Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect overnight, with light accumulating snow expected to total 1 to 2 inches. While snowfall amounts are modest, northwest winds increasing late Sunday night, with gusts between 30 and 40 mph, are expected to cause blowing and drifting snow, leading to slick roads and pockets of reduced visibility.
