DNR Seeks Input on 2026 Deer Season
Wisconsin residents can weigh in on deer harvest quotas, season structure and local herd goals through April 12, with in-person Citizen Deer Advisory Council meetings scheduled statewide from April 20 through April 30.
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is asking the public to weigh in on deer management for the 2026 season, including harvest quotas, season structure and other issues that help shape annual recommendations across the state.
Online feedback opened April 4 and will remain available through April 12 on the DNR’s Citizen Deer Advisory Council webpage. The agency said public comments will be reviewed by local councils as they develop recommendations for the 2026 deer season.
