Dwight Truttmann Elected President of Historical Society
A longtime New Glarus resident and civic leader has been elected president of the New Glarus Historical Society, succeeding Larry Klassy and continuing stewardship of the Swiss Historical Village & Museum.
Dwight Truttmann has been elected president of the New Glarus Historical Society, stepping into the leadership role following the death of longtime president Larry Klassy, who passed away in November.
Truttmann is a longtime New Glarus area resident who has farmed along County Highway J for many years and has been active in local civic and cultural organizations, including the New Glarus Yodel Club. He was first elected to the Historical Society’s board of directors in March 2023 and is a 1963 graduate of New Glarus High School.
