Glarner Knights Fall to Lancaster in Regional
New Glarus leads early and fights late behind big plays from Matt Roth and Nolan Julseth, but Lancaster’s speed and transition offense pull away in the second half to end the Glarner Knights’ season, 71–58.
LANCASTER, Wis. – The New Glarus Glarner Knights saw their season come to a close Friday night with a 71–58 loss to the Lancaster Flying Arrows in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal in Lancaster.
New Glarus came out aggressive and confident early, feeding off a loud traveling crowd that filled much of the Lancaster High School gym. The Glarner Knights briefly controlled the pace in the opening minutes before Lancaster’s quick transition offense began to shift momentum.
