Glarner Knights Go Toe-to-Toe With Bigger Warriors in Hard-Fought Road Battle
Despite giving up significant size to an undefeated opponent, the Knights battled for all 36 minutes, trading punches, knocking down timely threes, and refusing to let the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors pull away in a hard-fought 74-65 road loss.
LAKE MILLS, Wis. — On a Friday night in a packed Lakeside Lutheran gym, the New Glarus Glarner Knights proved once again that heart, hustle, and perimeter skill can travel — even when giving up inches and pounds to a much larger private school.
Facing a taller, deeper Lakeside Lutheran squad that entered the night undefeated, New Glarus battled for 32 minutes before eventually falling 74-65 in a game that was tighter, grittier, and more competitive than the final score might suggest.
