Saturday night the New Glarus Glarner Knights delivered one of the most dramatic wins the home gym has seen in years, storming back from a 21-point second-half deficit to defeat the Platteville Hillmen 92-91 in overtime at New Glarus High School Gymnasium.
In the late game of a holiday boys-girls doubleheader, the Knights showed resilience, patience, and grit, outlasting a Platteville team that entered the night with a reputation for sharp shooting and poise. New Glarus trailed by seven at halftime and appeared on the ropes early in the second half before mounting a relentless comeback that electrified a packed gym and ended with the Knights celebrating at center court.
