The New Glarus Glarner Knights closed strong Monday night, pulling away late for a 77-64 nonconference road win over Mineral Point, improving to 3-1 after returning from a weather-related layoff.
MINERAL POINT, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights closed strong down the stretch Monday night, pulling away late to earn an impressive 77-64 nonconference boys basketball victory over the Mineral Point Pointers at Mineral Point High School Gymnasium.
Playing their first game after a weather-related cancellation last week, New Glarus improved to 3-1 on the season with a hard-fought road win in Iowa County. Mineral Point, which entered the night 1-0 after a narrow win Friday over Southwestern, made the Knights work for every possession.
