Jacob Jenson, Devoted Teacher and Coach, New Glarus Graduate, Dies at 90

Jacob “Jake” Jenson, 90, a New Glarus High School graduate and longtime teacher and coach, died December 1, 2025. He was remembered for decades of service in education, athletics, and his church community.

Jake Jenson passed away on December 1st at Oakwood Manor. Jacob was born September 21, 1935, in the town of Primrose, Dane County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Henry and Marie (Eide) Jenson. He married Gloria Storandt on August 27, 1960, at English Lutheran Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Jacob graduated from New Glarus High School in 1953. He went into the US Army in April 1954 to April 1956. Jacob was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri and then at Fort Riley in Kansas.
