Kennedy’s Ice Cream Shop Property Sold
After closing its doors in October, the longtime New Glarus ice cream shop at 400 Railroad St. has changed hands as the village heads into what is expected to be a busy summer tourism season.
The downtown property that included Kennedy’s Ice Cream & Grill in New Glarus has been sold, marking a new chapter for one of the village’s familiar warm-weather business locations. The property includes The Hideout, a popular one bedroom, one bath vacation rental.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue the 400 Railroad St. property changed hands for $380,000. The transfer comes several months after Kennedy’s announced it would close in October 2025 after 13 years in business.
