Landlord-Tenant Issues Top Wisconsin Complaints in 2025
State data shows consumer complaints rose in most categories last year, with housing, telemarketing and home improvement leading the list statewide.
Consumer complaints across Wisconsin increased in most major categories in 2025, according to new data released this week by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).
DATCP’s Bureau of Consumer Protection reviewed thousands of written complaints filed by residents last year and identified the state’s top 10 consumer problem areas. Landlord-tenant disputes once again ranked first, a position the category has held since 2022.
