LaVonne Lucile Wittwer (Walden) entered eternal life on January 1, 2026. Although she was no longer able to say it out loud, making it into one more year was no doubt a reward of some sort - a coupon she can redeem in the next world.

Born on April 23,1931 to Leonard and Lucile Walden, LaVonne was originally raised in the country just outside of New Glarus, WI. Educated in a rural one room schoolhouse, she moved to the "big city" in 1941. After graduating from New Glarus High School in 1949, she began dating her handsome former classmate and good friend, Rodney J. Wittwer. Upon graduation from UW-Platteville with a degree in Elementary Education, she and Rodney were married on June 21, 1953.
