Monticello-New Glarus Pounds Out 17 Runs in Win
New Glarus-Monticello piled up 16 hits Monday and broke the game open with a 10-run fourth inning, rolling past Cambridge in a five-inning road win behind a huge day from Heidi Olson and a balanced offensive attack.
CAMBRIDGE, Wis. — The New Glarus Glarner Knights side of the New Glarus-Monticello co-op had plenty to cheer about Monday as the Ponies erupted for 17 runs in a 17-4 road win over Cambridge in five innings.
New Glarus-Monticello wasted little time taking control, scoring four runs in the first inning, adding one more in the second and two in the third before blowing the game open with a 10-run fourth.
