The New Glarus Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Fireman’s Supper served about 700 meals Saturday night, with supporters turning out in force for one of the community’s most important annual fundraisers.
The longtime event helps support equipment, training and operational needs for the volunteer department, while continuing a tradition that organizers say dates to the 1970s and remains a spring fixture in New Glarus.
