New Glarus High School Seniors Encouraged to Apply for Local Scholarships
As graduation nears, New Glarus High School’s counseling office is managing the annual scholarship process that helps seniors pursue college, technical school, and other paths.
As graduation approaches for New Glarus High School seniors, a major milestone is quietly underway behind the scenes: the local scholarship process. Each year, dozens of community-funded scholarships are made available to graduating seniors, offering financial support for college, technical school and other post-secondary paths.
The process is coordinated through the high school counseling office. Students complete scholarship applications based on the requirements of each individual scholarship. While there are core documents required for most applications, such as a general information, transcript, resume and cover letter, some scholarships also require letters of recommendation, additional materials and/or essay questions. The counseling office collects the completed applications and ensures they are delivered to the appropriate scholarship committees throughout the community.
