New Glarus Knights Top Cambridge in Key Conference Win

New Glarus High School hosted one of the most anticipated Capitol South Conference matchups of the season Thursday night as the New Glarus Glarner Knights and Cambridge Blue Jays met with first place implications on the line. With temperatures at 7 degrees above zero outside, the gym was warm and loud, and the bleachers were filled well before tip.

New Glarus entered 9-5 overall and unbeaten in conference play, while Cambridge arrived 9-6 overall, 4-0 in the league and riding a six-game winning streak. The Blue Jays also carried a 14-game Capitol South Conference win streak dating back to last season, raising the stakes for both teams.
