Balanced scoring, physical defense, and gritty performances from veterans and freshmen lifted the New Glarus Glarner Knights past River Valley, protecting home court in a hard-fought nonconference girls basketball win.
The New Glarus Glarner Knights defended their home court with authority Saturday afternoon, defeating a strong River Valley squad 50-43 inside the New Glarus High School Gymnasium. The Blackhawks entered with a 4-1 record and a reputation for physical play, but New Glarus (now 4-2) answered every challenge with toughness of their own.
