New Glarus Police Report Highlights Last Month's Calls
February brought 362 calls for service in New Glarus, including a narcotics search warrant arrest, a domestic abuse case with 27 charges, a traffic crash on Highway 69 and several other incidents reported by police.
The New Glarus Police Department responded to 362 calls for service in February, according to the department’s monthly report submitted March 4 by Chief Jeff Sturdevant. The February total brings the year-to-date number of calls for service to 756.
Officers also assisted other agencies 36 times during the month and made five incarcerations. Police issued 40 traffic and municipal citations and 53 traffic warnings. Parking enforcement remained active, with 113 parking citations issued. One traffic accident was reported during the month.
