New Glarus Rallies Late But Falls at Lake Mills
The Glarner Knights trailed 6-0 through three innings, then scored five runs over the final two frames before coming up one run short Tuesday at Lake Mills.
LAKE MILLS, Wis. — New Glarus nearly erased a six-run deficit Tuesday night, but the Glarner Knights’ late push came up just short in a 6-5 loss to Lake Mills. New Glarus scored twice in the sixth and added three more runs in the seventh after trailing 6-0 through three innings.
Lake Mills built its lead early, scoring four runs in the first inning, one in the second and one more in the third. Jack Vogel drove in two runs, Luke Everson doubled in another, and Jacob Cromey’s third inning double pushed the home team’s lead to six.
