High school students in New Glarus are learning about paid youth apprenticeship opportunities that connect classroom learning with real-world experience. Here’s how the program works.
As February and Career and Technical Education Month approach, the New Glarus School District is highlighting youth apprenticeship opportunities available to high school students as part of its ongoing focus on college, career and life readiness.
Students recently heard from Ned Lease, a representative with CESA 3, who visited the district to share information about the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program. The program offers a learn-while-you-earn option for high school juniors and seniors interested in gaining hands-on experience while completing their education.
