New Glarus Students Take Part in Dorian Vocal Festival
Ten New Glarus High School singers joined nearly 1,000 student vocalists from across the Midwest, earning individual honors during the nationally respected Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College.
Ten New Glarus High School students recently returned from the Dorian Vocal Festival, a nationally respected choral event held Jan. 11–12 at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where they joined nearly 1,000 student musicians from across the Midwest.
The annual Dorian Vocal Festival brings together top high school vocalists for two days of intensive music-making, instruction and performance. This year’s festival marked the 76th edition of the event and featured a combined choir of approximately 950 singers selected through a nomination and acceptance process.
