Green County says some municipalities, including the Village of New Glarus, are moving to Badger Books using county ARPA funds to improve voter check-in, registration, and post-election reconciliation.

New Glarus area voters will notice a different check-in process at the polls in 2026 as Green County begins rolling out Badger Books, an electronic poll book system designed for Wisconsin elections.

The Village of New Glarus and Town of New Glarus were among those recipients of the county's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding used for the Badger Books rollout, tying the local municipality directly to the new election administration effort.
