Former New Glarus village administrator says his early focus has been learning county operations, meeting staff and preparing for long-term projects affecting Green County residents.

Nic Owen Reflects on First Week as Green County Administrator

MONROE, Wis. — Just one week into the job, Green County’s first-ever county administrator says his early days have been focused on listening, learning and getting to know the people who keep county government running.

Nic Owen officially began work Wednesday March 11 as the first person to hold the administrator position for Green County. A 1998 graduate of New Glarus High School, Owen also previously served nearly nine years as village administrator in New Glarus before spending the past decade as village administrator in Mount Horeb.
