The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released its preliminary report on the fatal plane crash that occurred near the Monroe Municipal Airport on November 24, providing the first official account of the aircraft’s final minutes and the conditions it encountered.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released its preliminary report on the fatal plane crash that occurred near the Monroe Municipal Airport on November 24, providing the first official account of the aircraft’s final minutes and the conditions it encountered.

According to the report, a Socata TBM 700 aircraft crashed at approximately 5:13 p.m. as it was attempting to land at Monroe Municipal Airport. The pilot and a pilot-rated passenger were both killed. The flight was operating as a personal general aviation flight and had departed from Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh at 4:41 p.m.
