Representatives from CG Schmidt and the Village of New Glarus, including Village and Library Board trustees, Library Board and Building Committee, and library staff, gathered Wednesday night inside the new library still under construction at 26 5th Ave. for a small but meaningful moment in the project’s long history. As the building project nears completion, attendees signed a board that will be mounted to a ceiling beam, hidden from view for what is hoped to be many decades.
