New Glarus Room Tax Revenue Holds Steady in 2025
Village reports show more than $104,000 collected in 2025, with most funds supporting tourism promotion as short-term rental licenses increase.
The Village of New Glarus collected $104,450.64 in room tax revenue in 2025, the majority of which is directed to the Chamber of Commerce for tourism promotion efforts, according to Village financial reports.
The 5% municipal room tax applies to lodging stays of fewer than 30 consecutive days and is paid by visitors but collected and remitted by lodging providers within the village.
