Shepherd WELCA Launches Lent Drive for Schools
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America at Shepherd of the Hill is collecting classroom and student support items throughout Lent to help meet ongoing needs in the New Glarus School District, with a different item featured each Sunday.
Shepherd’s Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA) has launched a Lenten collection drive to support New Glarus Schools, asking members to bring needed items to church each Sunday during Lent.
The effort, organized under the theme “God’s Work, Our Hands,” focuses on supplies that teachers say are regularly needed in classrooms but often run low over time.
