Just west of New Glarus, at the quiet rural intersection of Hefty Road and Disch Road, stands one of Green County’s most beautiful and enduring landmarks: the historic Hefty–Blum Stone Barn. Built in 1861 and restored with great care more than a century later, the barn remains a striking reminder of the earliest Swiss settlers who shaped this corner of Wisconsin.
