Just west of New Glarus, at the quiet rural intersection of Hefty Road and Disch Road, stands one of Green County’s most beautiful and enduring landmarks: the historic Hefty–Blum Stone Barn. Built in 1861 and restored with great care more than a century later, the barn remains a striking reminder of the earliest Swiss settlers who shaped this corner of Wisconsin. And on Christmas morning, when the hills are covered in fresh snow, it becomes nothing short of magical.
