New Glarus closed out the workweek with steady rain and thunderstorms as a storm system moved through southern Wisconsin late Friday and overnight.

Rain fell for much of March 6 before a band of thunderstorms passed through the region Friday night and early Saturday. Temperatures climbed into the upper 50s during the day before dropping into the mid-30s overnight as winds added to the blustery feel.
