The Sugar River Raiders wrestling cooperative opened its dual season Thursday with two competitive matchups at the Mineral Point Quad, showing strong flashes of potential but ultimately dropping both duals to Middleton and Mineral Point.
The Raiders, anchored by experienced senior leaders and an eager freshman class, earned several impressive early season wins. Head coach Peter Swenson has emphasized growth and positivity in these opening weeks, and the lineup demonstrated both against two traditionally strong programs.
