MADISON, Wis. — The Sugar River Raiders wrestling cooperative of Belleville, New Glarus and Monticello faced one of Wisconsin’s toughest early-season tests Saturday, competing at the Badger State Invitational at the Alliant Energy Center.

Widely regarded as one of the state’s premier high school wrestling tournaments, the Badger State Invitational draws top programs and individual wrestlers from across Wisconsin, featuring deep brackets and state-level competition at every weight. The event is often viewed as an early measuring stick for wrestlers with conference, sectional and state aspirations.
