A group of University of Wisconsin–Platteville engineering students has completed a detailed design study exploring what a permanent band shelter and retaining wall could look like in New Glarus Village Park.

The work was completed by a Fall 2025 UW-Platteville Senior Design Group consisting of Tyler Milewski, Ethan Schneider, Troy Limbaugh and Ethan Stang. Their project was submitted to the Village of New Glarus as an academic exercise, not a construction proposal, and no funding has been allocated or action taken by the village. The report was presented to the village earlier this year.
