Overnight parking behind Village Hall, electric service reconnections and village tree work are among the key policy items on the agenda for Wednesday’s Village Board meeting.

The New Glarus Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Village Hall, with several policy-focused items expected to draw discussion.

One of the primary action items involves a proposed ordinance clarifying overnight parking rules in the municipal parking lot behind Village Hall. The ordinance would formally prohibit parking in the lot between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., while allowing an exception for village and village-contracted emergency personnel. Village officials have indicated the change is intended to provide clearer guidance for enforcement and overnight use of the lot.
