WIAA Approves Fall Sports Changes Affecting NGHS
Several rule and tournament procedure updates approved by the WIAA will impact volleyball, football and other fall sports at New Glarus High School beginning in the 2026 season.
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Board of Control approved a series of rule and procedure changes for fall sports during its February meeting, with several updates that will directly affect high school athletics in New Glarus beginning in 2026 and beyond.
The changes span multiple sports, including volleyball, football, cross country, tennis and golf, and include updates to tournament seeding, scheduling, equipment rules and postseason procedures. While many of the approved items are administrative in nature, several will have practical implications for teams, coaches and athletes at New Glarus High School.
