Wisconsin TV Show to Air Featuring the World Euchre Championship

After months of anticipation, Wisconsin Public Television’s Wisconsin Life will debut its half-hour feature on the Bicycle Cards World Euchre Championship, brought to you by the World Euchre Federation, on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. The feature, filmed in New Glarus during the May 2025 tournament, offers an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at what has become America’s largest annual Euchre competition and one of New Glarus’ fastest-growing community events.

Producers spent two full days on site interviewing contestants, following tournament organizers, and capturing the atmosphere that fills downtown New Glarus during championship weekend. The episode highlights the work of New Glarus Cares, the nonprofit that runs the event each year to raise funds for new community projects such as parks, playgrounds and public amenities.
