The Bank of New Glarus says it will not seek another tenant for the roughly 5,500-square-foot space Hometown Pharmacy is preparing to vacate at 1101 Highway 69, leaving the future use of the property uncertain.
The bank owns the property and the adjoining building at 1103 Highway 69. Although Hometown Pharmacy’s departure will create a substantial vacancy, the bank has already ruled out what might otherwise have been the most obvious next step: putting the space back on the rental market.
“At this time, we do not have a definitive plan to announce with regard to the space at Highway or our Main Street location,” said Bridgit Larsen, senior vice president of marketing and corporate communication for The Bank of New Glarus. “We are weighing our options.”
“However, we do know we will not be renting the space once it is vacated by the Pharmacy,” Larsen said.
