Belleville Community Picnic Marks 75 Years
Belleville’s 75th annual Community Picnic returns Aug. 7-9 with fireworks, carnival rides, live music, tournaments, family activities, a rib contest, car show, chicken dinner and three days of events at Sugar River and Community parks.
BELLEVILLE, Wis. — The Belleville Community Picnic will celebrate its 75th year Aug. 7-9 with three days of food, carnival rides, fireworks, live music, athletic competitions and family activities at Sugar River Park and Community Park.
The longtime summer tradition begins Friday with Family Night and Glow Night. The carnival will operate from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and reopen after the fireworks until 11 p.m. Friday’s schedule also includes adult kickball, bingo, balloon twisting, face painting, softball and an open bags tournament.
Fireworks are scheduled for dusk Friday at Sugar River Park, with Sunday designated as the rain date. The band 1884 will perform in the beer tent following the fireworks until midnight.
Saturday’s schedule begins with breakfast and the 46th annual Belleville Fun Run 5K run/walk at 8 a.m. Carnival rides begin at 9 a.m., along with children’s kickball and a coed volleyball tournament.
