Brock Weeden Is Emerging as a Premier Wisconsin Guard
A newly shared highlight video shows incoming New Glarus freshman Brock Weeden dunking, scoring from deep and turning heads as Wisconsin Academy calls the Class of 2030 standout one of the premier Wisconsin guards in his class.
For many New Glarus basketball fans, the video accompanying this story may be their first real introduction to Brock Weeden. It probably will not be the last.
The incoming New Glarus High School freshman is already earning attention well beyond Green County, with basketball evaluators describing him as one of Wisconsin’s leading players in the Class of 2030. On Thursday night, Wisconsin Academy went even further, calling the 6-foot-3 guard “one of the premier guards in the Midwest for his class.”
The verified Wisconsin Academy account shared a highlight video originally posted by Movement Hoops following Weeden’s appearance with New Glarus High School at the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Invitational. Movement Hoops predicted that Weeden “will be a household name in Wisconsin.”
Wisconsin Academy also said Weeden is expected to have a “huge season” for New Glarus. Before that season begins, he will compete this weekend in Louisville, Kentucky with the organization’s 2029 Under Armour Rise team, playing up one age level against older competition from across the country.
