Canter Inn Adds Friday, Saturday Lunch Service

A new midday menu gives diners another way to experience Canter Inn, with Friday and Saturday service featuring a chicken schnitzel sandwich, oysters, rösti sticks, hearty salads, takeout options and the restaurant’s full beverage menu.

Canter Inn has added lunch service on Fridays and Saturdays, giving diners a new opportunity to experience the nationally recognized New Glarus restaurant during the daytime.

The restaurant quietly began serving lunch June 19 and 20 and is currently offering it from noon to 2 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

“Since we occupied the building last summer, we’ve always appreciated the gorgeous daytime light in the space and the lovely view of the village, and wanted others to enjoy that experience,” Sam Kincaid said, part owner of Canter Inn.

Canter Inn is located at 119 Fifth Ave. in a restored 1902 Queen Anne Victorian home that has a long history as a dining destination. The restaurant opened in late 2025 under husband-and-wife owners Jon Nodler and Sam Kincaid.
