Canter Inn Earns National Recognition from Town & Country
New Glarus' Canter Inn was recently featured by Town & Country magazine as one of just five restaurants worth planning a road trip around, placing the local restaurant (and our community) alongside nationally recognized dining destinations.
Canter Inn's growing national reputation received another significant boost this week after the New Glarus restaurant was featured by Town & Country magazine as one of "The Very Best Restaurants to Plan a Roadtrip Around."
The article, published June 9, highlighted just five dining destinations across the United States that the magazine believes are worthy of a dedicated culinary journey. Canter Inn was the only Wisconsin restaurant included on the list.
Located in a restored 1902 Queen Anne Victorian home at 119 Fifth Ave., Canter Inn opened in late 2025 under the direction of husband-and-wife team Jon Nodler and Sam Kincaid. The restaurant has quickly attracted attention for its elevated Midwestern cuisine, seasonal ingredients and thoughtful nods to New Glarus' Swiss heritage.
