A glowing Wisconsin State Journal review adds to the growing buzz around Canter Inn, whose contemporary menu is helping push New Glarus further forward as a food destination.

Canter Inn is again drawing statewide attention, this time from the Wisconsin State Journal, which praised the New Glarus restaurant as “worth the drive” after a visit to the Fifth Avenue dining spot.

The review adds to a growing pile of accolades for the restaurant, which has already received attention from Madison Magazine and The Wall Street Journal since opening in October.

Canter Inn is owned by husband-and-wife team Jon Nodler and Sam Kincaid, who opened the restaurant in a 1902 Queen Anne-style home at 119 Fifth Ave. The Wisconsin State Journal noted that the couple is the fifth husband-and-wife team to run a restaurant in the building.
