Canter Inn Opens Second-Floor Event Space

Canter Inn in New Glarus is expanding its private dining options with a second-floor event space designed for intimate celebrations, dinners and business gatherings.

The restaurant, located at 119 5th Ave., is housed in a restored 1902 Victorian home near the corner of Fifth Avenue and Second Street.

Sam Kincaid, part owner of Canter Inn, said the upstairs dining room offers an atmosphere similar to the restaurant’s main floor. The space consists of one long dining room with several possible table arrangements and seating for as many as 20 to 22 guests.

The room can be arranged in a cozy, family-style format and used for private dinners, rehearsal dinners, bridal or baby showers, birthday parties, business gatherings, holiday celebrations and other events.
