Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus is Being Marketed for Sale

One of New Glarus’ best-known hospitality properties is being marketed for sale according to sources with direct knowledge of the matter. Rumors that the property was for sale had circulated since February, though the owners only recently confirmed the reports.

The Chalet Landhaus has been part of the village’s tourism and business life for decades, welcoming visitors and giving locals a familiar place to gather.

No completed sale has been announced. But news that the Chalet Landhaus is being actively marketed for sale marks an important moment for one of New Glarus’ most familiar business properties and one that many residents may watch closely.

"This transition has been incredibly emotional for us, but throughout it all we have been deeply grateful for the kindness, support, and encouragement shown by our community during such a difficult time," said Briana Lenzlinger, Hans Lenzlinger's daughter and now part owner of the property. "The relationships built over the years mean more to us than words can express."

For many in New Glarus, the Chalet Landhaus is more than a hotel. It has long been one of the village’s most recognizable businesses, known for its Swiss decor, spacious guest rooms, restaurant, bar and the role it has played in hosting visitors, meals, meetings and special occasions over the years.
