MILWAUKEE, Wis. — New Glarus native Dain Walter’s first NFL opportunity did not end with a contract, but it did give him a moment he said he will never forget: putting on a Green Bay Packers jersey as a player.

Walter, a former New Glarus standout and four-time All-American offensive tackle at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, was interviewed Tuesday on WTMJ-AM radio in Milwaukee after participating in the Packers’ rookie minicamp.
