Donna Q. Gavin, 74, Dies; Remembered for Strength and Humor

A New Glarus resident and former Chicagoan, Gavin was known for her resilience, generosity, quick humor and deep love of animals. She died peacefully Sept. 16 after a long illness and will be remembered by those whose lives she touched.

Donna Q. Gavin, 74, of New Glarus, Wisconsin, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, following a long illness.

Donna will be remembered for her strength, humor, generosity, and deep love for animals. She touched the lives of many and was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

The Zentner-Beal Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
