GREEN BAY, Wis., — New Glarus native and former University of Wisconsin-La Crosse left tackle Dain Walter took the field Friday for the first day of Green Bay Packers rookie minicamp inside the Don Hutson Center.

Walter, wearing No. 64, is participating on a tryout basis as he tries to become the first New Glarus High School graduate to earn an NFL contract.
