Family Fun Fest Brings Community Together Sunday

The New Glarus Home and Sugar River EMS are teaming up Sunday, Oct. 4, for Family Fun Fest, a three-hour community event featuring food, live music and a lineup of activities for children. The event runs from noon to 3 p.m. on the New Glarus Home in the back parking lot at the end of Elm Drive. The event is open to the community.

The New Glarus Home is presenting the afternoon as a chance for families and neighbors to gather on campus for an event built around simple, family-friendly fun. The partnership with Sugar River EMS adds a local first-responder presence to a gathering that is intended for the broader New Glarus community.

Food and refreshments will be part of the afternoon, including ice cream and Sugar River EMS lemonade. Live music is also planned throughout the event.

For younger visitors, the schedule includes inflatable obstacle courses and a bounce house, along with face painting and balloon animals. Together, the activities give families several options to move between during the three-hour event rather than centering the afternoon around a single program or performance.
