FBLA, FCCLA Organize New Glarus High School Blood Drive

New Glarus High School's FBLA and FCCLA chapters are organizing an American Red Cross blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the high school, giving the community another opportunity to donate blood close to home.

The drive will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Glarus High School, 1701 2nd St. Appointments can be scheduled through RedCrossBlood.org.

The event puts two student organizations at the center of a community service effort. FBLA and FCCLA are working together to organize the drive while the American Red Cross handles blood collection and donor services.

Donors can use RapidPass before their appointment, which the Red Cross says can save up to 15 minutes on donation day. The Red Cross is also offering a $10 Amazon Gift Card by email to people who give blood from Oct. 19 through Nov. 22, along with 200 bonus points toward Donor Rewards.
